Adventures Are Afoot: Achievement Unlocked With the Power of Love This past weekend, on a gorgeous sunny day with bluebird skies, we held our inaugural community Shinrin-Yoku walk at Memorial Park in Houston. For 2 hours, we asked participants (adults and kids age 7-15) to take a break from the hustle and bustle of city life, from the rabbit hole of doom scrolling on their phones, and immerse themselves in the healing power of nature. Shinrin-Yoku, the Japanese practice of forest bathing, invites us to slow down, breathe in the fresh air, and connect with the natural world around us.
